Training Events
What:
The purpose of the Congregational
Assessment for Vital Ministry is to enhance your ministry and to
increase the effectiveness of your congregation’s ministry
through deeper, ongoing conversations among clergy, laity,
Conference staff, denominational resource persons, and district
superintendents. This assessment includes sections on
qualities, skills, and competencies and on planning and goals
for the future. The assessment begins with you.
Why:
As a conference, we
believe that the
Congregational Assessment for Vital Ministry is a
new way of looking at the ministries we
share. Built upon our past Conference Comprehensive Plan
work, we believe this new assessment will further nurture
fruitful and prophetic leadership and assist in planting new
ministries, which includes revitalizing existing ministries. We
invite you, as clergy and laity to join us as partners in this
new endeavor. Your participation will make a difference in the
future of the community of Christ in our communities, our
region, and the world.
